Assignment 4 - Paint to music

Here come my favourite assignment...Paint to music !!!! We needed to draw something based on the music we were listening to; any music would do. I love to listen to music while doing my work so this was actually my favourite assignment until now. I choose to listen to pop song because I rarely listen to the classical music.

These were the black and white one and shapes exploration. The songs for these images;

First image: "Castle" by Halsey ;"The Feeling" by Justin Bieber and Halsey

Second image :"Tears" by Clean Bandit ; "Don't let me down" by Chainsmoker

Third image : "Slide" by Calvin Harris ; "I see fire" by Ed Sheeran

These were too and techniques(with colour and texture exploration).Among these I had listened to some classical songs. The songs are:

First image: "River flows in you" by Henry and Yiruma ; " Secret" by Jay Chou

Second image: "Moonlight Sonata op. 27 movement 3" by Beethoven ; "guang nian zhi wai" by G.E.M

Third image: "How to love" by cash cash ft. Sofia Reyes ; "I don't want to live forever" by Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris

Lastly, we were asked to paint 2 pieces of drawings; 1 to contemporary music. and another to classical music.

This was for the contemporary music. The song I listened to for this was "Stay" by Alessia Cara and Zedd. This song gave me a feeling of flow and a sudden " scratch" .

This was for the classical music. The music I listened to was " 5th symphony" by Beethoven.This music has a strong background music so I made my art looks strong at the bottom. Besides, the music will always have a sudden soft music and sudden loud music so my art was like some part soft some part strong.
