This was our second week for having photography class. Everyone had brought their own dslr camera to the classes as what Mr Martin asked us to do. For some of them, including me, were the first time using a dslr camera; but that didn't matter because Mr Martin was going to teach everything from the basic. For the first class, he had helped us to adjust the settings of everyone's camera had helped us to make our camera into monochrome.

For our second assignment, we were asked to take 5 monochrome , minimalism , simple pictures of anything. As the class ended, me and some of the course mates went around the campus to take some pictures. It was quite a challenge for me because I had never proper use a dslr before.

This was taken in the evening in my yard. I like the grass was only occupied half of the picture and had a blurry background. Besides the ants that were walking on the grass. The picture gave a sense of depressed.

This photo was taken in Coda Gallery in my university. I had set the camera into low ISO and high aperture so that the lighting can make a nice contrast with its background. I also had edited the photo so that it could make a greater contrast.

This was also taken in Coda gallery. I like the bulb in this picture was placed on the one third of the picture. The more negative space in this picture created a simplicity and minimalistic.

This was a cupboard in my room. I took the handle as the main thing for this photo. With the only horizontal lines and the handle , it came out with a minimal feeling. I also liked the shadow of the handle under the handle, created the other shapes to this photo.

This was taken in school. I took a stone and placed it on the floor on the line. This miracle happened where it created a simplicity as well. I loved the light colour or the stone had made a contrast with the dark colour background. There was also some lightning that come through the sticks and leaves had created some shapes on the floor.

This was just a simple black and white photo. I took this because of the repetition of pattern on the floor. A simple shape can created different feeling with its repetition.

The repetition of lines. This was a carpet. I liked that the overall photo was only focus on the middle of the photo and created a interesting simplicity.

These were the extra pictures that I took to explore more about black and white photos.

This was my old on-ear headphone. I took it and place it on white table and background. I liked this simplicity . While taking the pictures, I only focused the lens on one side of the on-ear headphone, and it looked nice and simple.

This picture was taken unintentionally when I was trying to take a picture using my dslr camera. The objects were all concentrated at the left bottom corner and right upper corner, and the middle was left blank. This created a simplicity for me. I liked that the picture was only left the middle was bright while the corners were darken due to the shadows of the objects.

This was taken at the school's toilet (the nicest toilet kkk). The colour of the was increasing gradually from light to dark. It was pretty and simple because the whole picture was only the repetition of the wood and the increasing of the colour tone.

I took a white rose pen and a vase; I placed it on the white table and white background. I like the altough they were having the same white colour but came out with different tone through this picture. I liked the dull colour of the rose with the background slightly brighter colour. The overall atmosphere of this picture were down and dull and it was interesting.

I learned how to set the camera under different exposure. Black and white settings seemed to be easy, but it was quite challenging.
