  3. Narrative of the materials’ experiential exploration (suitability of materials used in relation to the building

design) on significant areas or spaces of the chosen buildings together with the types, characteristics, and

physical properties of the materials. (Each building needs to have two (2) spaces or areas.)

  4. Images of chosen buildings (floor layout, elevations, three-dimensional perspective etc.).

This assignment was an online research on the architect that was assigned to us by our lecturer. Through this assignment, we able to understand more on the choice of materials and technologies used in or out of the buildings. We able to know how the materials are used to cope with the characters of the buildings and how the building blended into the environment of the site.

Project 2

In a group of two, we are required to draw :-

  • TWO A2 tracing papers in a clear cover containing the following of each building elements:

    1. Floor plan (traced)

    2. Section (traced)

    3. Jointing details of each building element

    4. Axonometric of jointing detail of ONE building element.

  •  Detailing / drawing specification

Through this assignment, I get more knowledge and understanding of building construction in drawings. I get to know more on the detailing of the building elements (how it work; what's the inter-relationship between the design and technical knowledge)
